Fully Insured Removals in Glasgow
Most removal firms will tell you they are insured. Very few will show you the paperwork.
Our certificates are published on this page. Read them before you book, not after something has gone wrong.
What we carry
Goods in transit cover on our vehicles, written on an all risks basis with no conditions attached. Cover is specified by vehicle and applies across our fleet.
Public liability up to £2,000,000. This covers damage to your property or injury to anyone on site while we are working.
Employers liability up to £10,000,000. Every member of the crew is covered. If someone is hurt on your job, that is our liability, not yours.
Cover extends across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the offshore islands including the Channel Isles. Long-distance and cross-border moves are covered on the same terms as a move across Glasgow.
If you are moving high-value items, say so at the survey and we will confirm in writing that they are covered before the job goes ahead.
Everything gets protected, every time
Insurance matters when something goes wrong. Doing the job properly means it usually doesn’t.
Sofas are bagged. Furniture is blanket wrapped, then cling wrapped on top. White furniture gets both before it goes anywhere near a garage or a loft. Cardboard goes down on floors. Door frames and edges are checked and protected before anything heavy comes through them.
This is how we work on every job, not just the ones with photographs.
Disconnections are done by certified trades
We do not disconnect your washing machine, your cooker or your gas appliances ourselves and hope for the best.
Joinery work, including dismantling and reassembling furniture, is handled by a certified joiner. Electrical disconnection and reconnection is done by qualified electricians. Plumbing is handled by a firm we have worked with for years.
It costs us more than doing it in-house. It also means the work is certified, and your home insurance is not left with a question mark over it.
The pre-move disclaimer, and why we use it
At the survey we walk the property with you and note any existing damage: marks on walls, chips on furniture, worn flooring. You sign it before we start.
People sometimes assume this is a way for us to duck responsibility. It is the opposite. It means that on moving day there is no argument about what was already there, and anything that happens on our watch is clearly ours to put right.
